We are pleased to invite you to the opening of
BREDAPHOTO 2010
On Thursday 16 September, 8 p.m., at pop podium Mezz,
101 Keizerstraat, 4811 HL Breda
The fourth edition of this international photography festival
once again has a topical and relevant theme that speaks
directly to the times we live in, which is TILT.
Under the banner of the TILT theme, photographers show
their visions of a world turned “topsy-turvy”. Not only do their
images feature signs of crisis, but they also show individuals
dealing with times of uncertainty. There are photos that show
how a situation of crisis can create opportunities; how some
people resort to isolation. In short, man’s attempt to get to
grips with chaos. BREDAPHOTO offers you a festival
featuring more than 50 photographers - established names
alongside emerging talent.
On 16 September, you will get the opportunity to visit
the exhibitions at their various locations between 2 p.m.
and 5 p.m.
From 19.45 you are welcome to join us in Mezz, for the
festive opening by the writer, actor, translator and current
Poet Laureate of the Netherlands, Ramsey Nasr.
At 9 p.m., the opening party will kick off with a performance
by The Souldiers, an Amsterdam band who play a combination
of Rootsrock, New Orleans funk, soul, blues and folk.
BREDAPHOTO 2010 runs until 24 October and naturally,
you are most welcome to visit as often as you like.
