Lecture programme BREDAPHOTO 2010

Breda Photo has organised a number of lectures and events for the festival.

Architecture and photography

On 17 September, an architecture and photography evening will be held in cooperation with Gebouw F. The photographers present will include Stefan Canham and Rufina Wu, and Michael Wolf will almost certainly attend.  Location Breda's Museum.

Carl de Keyzer and Denis Darzacq

On Sunday 19 September, during the first weekend of the festival, Carl de Keyzer and Denis Darzacq will give a lecture. Carl de Keyzer is an important guest at the festival, with two exhibitions: Trinity and Before the Flood. Denis Darzacq is literally image-defining for BREDAPHOTO. One of the photos from his series ‘Hyper’ is the publicity image for BREDAPHOTO 2010.

Themed evening: Belgium

On 24 September, Carl de Keyzer will be visiting Breda again. We have organised an evening with a Belgian theme. Belgium is an important partner in this year’s edition of Breda Photo. We are organising programmes with Belgian photographers and have set up intensive joint projects with the Belgian art academies and photographic museums.

Simon Norfolk

On sunday 26 September Simon Norfolk will give a lecture from 2 untill 4pm. in the 'Breda's Museum'.

Students and academies

Friday 1st October is devoted to students and academies. The academy project is a new addition to the festival. The project has enabled us to show the work of up-and-coming photographers who are set to graduate this year.

On Saterday 2 October Olaf Otto Becker gives an interesting lecture at the 'Breda's Museum' from 2-4 pm.
